  • ChangemakerXchange - global exchanges for young social entrepreneurs

    The Ashoka ChangemakerXchange is a platform for collaboration among some of the world's most inspiring young social entrepreneurs. In 2012 40 youth from Europe and Turkey got the chance to come together in Istanbul and Berlin to share experiences, exchange ideas and develop new social innovations. In 2013 the program will expand to many more countries

    The Program “Engagement with perspective“ (PEP) is committed to supporting civically engaged people aged 16 to 27, who intend to build sustainable and effective structures for their promising projects.
    In order to solve the growing complexity of modern societal challenges, we can no longer ignore the creative potential and innovative enthusiasm of the young generation. It becomes increasingly important to create spaces for its active societal involvement. Unfortunately, young people are frequently faced with serious barriers to personal civic engagement, since they do not dispose over sufficient time, finance and knowledge.
    Driven by the mission to encourage young people's contribution to social change and to create the conditions for their future professional involvement in the civic sector, Ashoka grants fellowships, projects funds, and training.

    The program is financed by SAP as a founding partner of PEP. SAP's involvement also includes the transmission of product related know-how, as well as the personal involvement of SAP employees in developing the program.

People who are prepared to help others play an important role in improving our life together in society as a whole. At the same time, people who work for a cause with conviction and passion often break new ground and come up with creative solutions to social challenges.

    A democratic society thrives when its citizens assume responsibility within it and for it. No state can survive without civic involvement. People who are prepared to help others play an important role in improving our life together in society as a whole. At the same time, people who work for a cause with conviction and passion often break new ground and come up with creative solutions to social challenges.

    With the Responsible Citizens network, we want to present these people to the public and promote the effectiveness of their commitment. As part of our activities honoring Robert Bosch’s 150th birthday in 2011 a total of 150 people were selected as Responsible Citizens. Their activities encompass a wide variety of different projects and approaches. But what unites them is their commitment to a social cause and their willingness to assume responsibility.

    The Robert Bosch Stiftung offers the participants advanced training and networking opportunities at group events. To increase the members social impact, each year we implement individual organizational development measures with up to 20 Responsible Citizens.

    And a living network grows, which is why each year, new Responsible Citizens are honored and added to the network. The Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications to join the network.
