Why do some of the insurance companies that go digital, still FAIL? Well, Democrance has been around for almost a decade. Our founders have been in insurance even longer. What have we all learned? Just putting your insurance products online isn't enough. A lot of digital insurance experiences often fail because companies focus solely on the online channel. And let's be real: No one wakes up thinking, “I can’t wait to buy insurance online today!” It's a complex decision, and a website alone won't cut it. Successful digital insurance takes a holistic approach that goes way beyond “the platform.” 1. Customer journey optimization: Make it easy and intuitive for people to explore their options and, most importantly, help them decide. 2. UI/UX that wows: A clunky interface will scare people away faster than you can say “premiums.” 3. Partnerships and Marketing: Get the word out there, invest in marketing for these online channels and collaborate with partners and intermediaries 4. Streamlined underwriting and servicing: The whole process needs to be digital, from start to finish—not just the front, but also the back end. Digital transformation in insurance is possible, but it’s more than a platform, it’s a journey.
