New Year's Eve Live (CNN program) → New Year's Eve Live – If I'm reading this situation correctly, this is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, and should be moved to the base title. The only thing that competes for this title is New Year's Eve Live (Fox program), but that is simply a redirect (incorrectly disambiguated under WP:NCTV to boot!) to Fox New Year's Eve specials. In other words, this is a WP:TWODABS situation, and so a WP:DABPAGE is unneeded, and so the CNN TV program article should be at the base title, and a hatnote to the FOX TV program article from that should suffice... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:33, 27 September 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. - Oppose not clear from GBooks that either of these is more notable than the other. The Fox one with Regis Philbin seems to be the bigger event in years past. There's also MTV New Year's Eve Live. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:08, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Seriously?! The Fox one isn't even an article – it's a redirect. This is a classic WP:TWODABS situation, in which the CNN show should reside at the base title, with a hatnote pointing to the other article (which, again, isn't even at "New Year's Eve Live", but is instead at Fox New Year's Eve specials...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:29, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Stop bringing up GBooks, IIO. No one else even considers that relevant. Unreal7 (talk) 21:42, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support - none of the articles In ictu oculi has pointed to even share the name, so I have no idea on what grounds he opposes, because they deal with the same topic? So if a film would be titled "Killer with a gun" and another "Killer with a knife" we should disambiguate them? "New Year's Eve Live", "Fox New Year's Eve specials" and "MTV New Year's" are very different titles. Also per NCTV networks shouldn't be used to disambiguate. This CNN/Fox issues are way over-due to be cleaned. --Gonnym (talk) 21:57, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Unreal7 (talk) 21:42, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support - article should always be prioritised over a disambiguation page. If the Fox show is more notable then it should have an article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matt14451 (talk • contribs) 15:08, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- "...over a redirect" (not a "disambiguation page"), but, yeah. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:22, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
