Bed Friend (อย่าเล่นกับอนล; RTGS: Xỳā lèn kạb Xnl, lit. 'Don't Play With Anol') is a 2023 Thai BL romance drama television series, starring Supamongkon Wongwisut and Siraphop Manithikhun.

It aired from February 18 to April 22, 2023 on One 31 every Saturday at 22:40 (BMT) for 10 episodes, while the uncut version was made available on IQIYI.[1]

Production

The production of Bed Friend, a TV adaptation of the web novel by littlebbear96,[2] was announced on October 14, 2021 in light of a partnership between Mandee Work, Domundi and WeTV,[3] with "James" Supamongkon Wongwisut and "Net" Siraphop Manithikhun playing a couple for the third time.[4] Directed by Thanamin Wongskulphat, the series has characters in common with The Middleman's Love, another work by littlebbear96, and the two 8-episode series were expected to be produced at the same time, with "Tommy" Sittichok Pueakpoolpol and "Jimmy" Jitaphon Potiwihok guest-starring in Bed Friend as Jade and Mai, the main characters of The Middleman's Love.[5]

Filming for both series started on May 10, 2022.[6][7] On August 15, Mandee Work announced that Potiwihok and Pueakpoolpol had decided to withdraw, and filming was paused indefinitely;[8] thus, the production decided to re-film and air Bed Friend first.[8] Ultimately, "Tutor" Koraphat Lamnoi and "Yim" Pharinyakorn Khansawa were cast as their replacement.[9] Filming started once again on September 12, 2022[10] and ended on March 12, 2023.[11] On the last day, Mandee Work announced a 2-episode extension, bringing the series to 10 episodes instead of the initially planned eight.[12]

On December 13, 2022, Bed Friend was announced as part of Domundi's 2023 series line-up and a short pilot teaser was disclosed.[13] The trailer was released on YouTube on February 8, 2023,[14] while the series aired from February 18, preceeded by a public screening of the first episode one week before.[15]
