The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 selling over 503,000 copies in its first week—the largest first-weeks sales by a new female artist. It sold over 5 million copies in the U.S. [1] and over 6 million worldwide.[2] The album earned Ashanti a Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary R&B Album" in 2003.
