requesting advice about Flajolet Prize webpage
Theroadislong, I would love to (please) request your help. I maintain the webpage for the international Analysis of Algorithms AofA scientific community. (I am a Statistics Professor at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.) In full humility, this is the first time that I built a draft of a Wikipedia page.
For the last 8 years, the AofA community has been awarding the Flajolet Prize in memory of Philippe Flajolet, who was the scientific leader of this entire research community. He had more than 200 research publications and was well known and loved in this community.
The closest prize to this one is the Knuth Prize, which has a Wikipedia page and lists the recipients. Although the Flajolet Prize is newer (only 8 years old), the recipients are very distinguished in their careers.
The Steering Committee for this scientific community asked me to draft a Wikipedia page about this scientific prize. It is not for my self-promotion. (I am not famous and I am unlikely to ever win this prize!) I am simply documenting the scientific award on behalf of this community.
I sent some emails to the Steering Committee and also on the community's Slack channel, to seek feedback and guidance during the review process.
I realize that I made one rookie mistake when I submitted the page, namely, I accidentally put a "Channel" link for Flajolet and I realize now that he does not have a channel. I apologize for this.
Can you please provide some advice for me? I would welcome your help. Thank you very much.
P.S. My role in the Analysis of Algorithms community is NOT a paid role. The entire community are only scientists. There are no membership fees or paid officers or anything like that. We are all just scientists who work in a very active research community. We want to document the recipients of the Flajolet Prize now that this community has given the award 4 times and is preparing to make the 5th award.
OK, I added the website for the international Analysis of Algorithms community, and I also added a new section that explains that this award is comparable to the Knuth Prize.
In terms of the content given in this Wikipedia article, just FYI, there is more content on this new Wikipedia page than on the Knuth Prize webpage.
The user Possibly (very kindly) removed the large block description (ok with me), and I added (instead) the description about the topics covered by the award. I sent Possibly a thank you note, for helping to edit this page.
Sincerely, Mark Daniel Ward, Ph.D.

- You say " I am simply documenting the scientific award on behalf of this community."
I think that you have a common misunderstanding as to the purpose of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a place for organisations to tell the world about themselves or their awards, like social media or their own website is. This is an encyclopedia, and as an an encyclopedia Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a subject, showing how it meets WP:GNG. You also need to declare your conflict of interest on your user page. Theroadislong (talk) 17:08, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
Theroadislong (talk) Thanks for asking! I want to clarify this issue. I don't give the award, and I am not on the selection committee, and it does not come from my university. In fact, I am not involved in picking the recipient at all. I'm just a professor who does research in a large community of scientists from many universities. We are not paid and it is not part of any of my official duties. This is just an scientific research area that happens to give a prize to some scientists (from a scientific society; not from me). I'm just starting the documentation about this award, but I am guessing that others who work in this research area will chime in too, making edits once the page is available. Indeed, I sent a broad email in the community, to seek feedback about the page. It's not about me, and I'm not on the organizing committee, and I don't pick the award winner or anything like that. My only involvement is helping to maintain a webpage where some events from this community are organized. I just added a note about this on my user page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MDW333 I want to emphasize that this award is also NOT given by Purdue University. I am just a professor who is interested in this topic. I believe that I am (to use your phrasing) an INDEPENDENT RELIABLE SOURCE. I've never been on the selection committee for this award, and I'm not getting nominated for it, or anything like that. I just help this large research community to document some of the activities in the community, e.g., editorial work and reviews and things like that, and I don't get paid for it.
- You are clearly NOT an independent or reliable source, if as you say you are helping this large research community to document some of the activities, then you are not independent of it, and to be reliable sources need to be published. Theroadislong (talk) 18:04, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
Thank you very much for asking about this point Theroadislong. I appreciate your question about this. If you look at the places where the award is given, and where the international lecture occurs, you will see that it has been given in Paris, France, and in Krakow, Poland, and in Uppsala, Sweden. This is not a Purdue award. I added a note to state that I am a faculty member, but I do not get paid for any of this work in this research. I'm just a scientist who works in this area. I'm not getting paid for this, and the award does not come from my university, and it is my scientific area of expertise. For comparison (I think) all pages about mathematics and computer science activities will be edited by people who work in those areas. Correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MDW333 (talk • contribs) 18:08, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
talk thank you for your additional comments this morning about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Flajolet_Lecture_Prize You kindly mentioned that the sources are primary but you said that they are not independent. I am a scientist in this area but I am just documenting a prize that is awarded in this scientific area. I will emphasize again that I am not on the selection committee for the prize, and it has been given since 2014 in this scientific area of research. The references that I added are just documenting the conferences where the prize is awarded.
For comparison, let's take a look at this prize: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knuth_Prize It is given by the ACM and by the IEEE. All three references given in the article are to ACM sites directly. These are two of the most well known prizes in this area of science. I saw that you added a note on 20 March 2021 that says that the article might not meet the "general notability guideline" for Wikipedia.
How about this potential method for constructively improving Wikipedia? I will try to add some references for both of these prizes this weekend. Both of these prizes are really well known in this area of science, and they are really a "big deal". The recipients are some of the most well known scientists who work in these scientific areas. The people that the awards are named for, Knuth and Flajolet, have each published more than 200 research papers in top-tier journals, and the prizes given in their name are recognizing big achievements.
I'll try to add some references to help further explain. I appreciate your constructive feedback. I'll work on this during the weekend. Thank you! MDW333 (talk) 11:04, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
e-flux draft
Hi there, many thanks for your helpful comments about the sources list in Draft:e-flux. I've gone through and replaced the links to their page with reliable sources. Would you mind taking another look, please? Much appreciate your time! Thanks, Pizzarat222 (talk) 14:53, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Theroadislong, I hope you are well! I wanted to follow up to check the status of this draft I was editing. Please let me know if you're able to take another look. I think e-flux is a really valuable resource for students (like myself), so I hope the page can get back up soon. Thanks!Pizzarat222 (talk) 16:27, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
Declined submission
Hello,
Thank you for reviewing my latest submission of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Buyer_modalities_framework You declined it based on "blogs are not suitable sources".
I would like to bring the following to your attention: 1. Buyer's psychology is a key field in marketing, albeit lacking articles in Wikipedia, which I am trying to contribute to. It's not quantum physics, there are less academics research in marketing psychology than in hard sciences, so it's important to source from marketing professionals and companies who experience in real conditions. 2. My first submission was declined because "20% (of the source) of which are to the originators of this concept". One out of the 5 original sources was indeed (and I thought that was fair and honest) related to them. 3. One of the key other sources was academic research made by one of the most famous European universities, the KUL. It may not be as famous as Harvard, but it's a high reputation institution. 4. As it seemed too slim, I have added other sources, and many professionals and journalists' articles take the format of blogs these days. Blogs are valid: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Blogs_as_sources => I am using a diversity of unconnected sources (not just 1 or 2, as I could be accused of being biased, but I am not related to any of them) from reputable marketers and journalists.
I have tried to do a fair, neutral, balanced article, that explores a key area of marketing and consumers; when I mentioned to other marketing experts that there was no article on this topic within Wikipedia, they were surprised. But I am really not sure what I can do more?
Thanks,
John — Preceding unsigned comment added by John JL London (talk • contribs) 15:57, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Blogs as sources was a failed proposal. Your Draft:Buyer modalities framework contains at least 6 blog references, if it is really a notable topic I would expect there to be better coverage of the term in more main stream sources. Theroadislong (talk) 16:30, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
blatant advertising
Hello, there I hope you are doing great. I just spent like 3 days writing the text and all info's for the company I work and after using like 6 hours of learning how to publish a page I finally did it and it looked very well but after submitting it for a review I got rejected and the reason was "blatant advertising" I mean I don't understand what this means ? Can you please help me with this issue and give me any advice or assist me how to solve this. My username is Artmotionpristina
Thanks a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Artmotionpristina (talk • contribs) 21:52, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- In order to demonstrate notability, you need to provide multiple references to in-depth articles written about your company in unrelated, independent journals, magazines, books or online. Any article should be based on them alone, we have no interest in what they want to say about themselves. Per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure you must disclose on your user page, who is paying you to edit, editors who are or expect to be compensated for their contributions must disclose their employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any paid contributions. Recent rejected submission
Hey Theroadislong,
Thank you for your feedback. Would you please provide me further details about the rejection of my submission (please see below)? The references I have used are from reliable sources such as Forbes Italia, WWD and Fashion Network. Is it also an issue to provide references that are not in the English language?
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kindindubai (talk • contribs) 09:28, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Barron Trump submission
Is it not notable that he was discussed all over the internet for the #freebarron2020 movement? What about the millions of tiktok videos, tweets, and memes about him and this movement? What is considered “notability” on Wikipedia? That seems notable enough to me. Thousands of signatures, trending all over the internet, and a permanent place as a part of meme culture and his fathers presidency. Is this not notable? All of this was included in the article. Hello
Hello, How do you tell that IMDB is unreliable? That is the most important and reliable site to understand the cast of a film: The film is composed of that cast, I don't understand why you correct me. If Imdb announces that cast, there is that cast in the film, Trust me, imdb is the most trusted site of all the newspapers combined. --Salvatoreariel (talk) 13:02, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- See WP:IMDB the content on IMDb is user-generated, and the site is considered unreliable by a majority of editors. Theroadislong (talk) 13:42, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi Theroadislong
Hi Theroadislong, nice to meet you. I created an article about Salvatore Ruocco as an actor. You canceled it. It is my first article and I would like to finish it successfully. I left the sources on the draft of the article, can you check if they are okay with you? I hope I can successfully finish my first article. I met this actor watching Abel Ferrara Napoli Napoli Napoli and many other films. I think you deserve to have an article on wikipedi. I thank you in advance. --Salvatoreariel (talk) 17:28, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- It was deleted after a discussion here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Salvatore Ruocco you have created it again here Draft:Salvatore Ruocco with very poor sources and it was rejected, it will not be considered again unless you provide multiple, significant in depth coverage in reliable sources. This is not an edit war
Hello,
I do not understand your message. I am a consumer marketing and advertising expert, engaged both in the academic and practical aspects of marketing. I have decided to bring this expertise to Wikipedia, as I found it very light on the marketing and advertising front. My contributions, as falt, boring, factuals, and neutral as possible, are obviously reviewed by people who are not marketing and advertising experts. My contribution, about a concept that has been used by marketers, have been judged "promotional": promotional for whom? I quote the creators of the concept: it's promotional. Great; let's not quote Einstein in the theory of relativity, then. I quote multiple different and unrelated journos and professional sources: it's promotional. I source from one leading European university: it's promotional. What can I say... — Preceding unsigned comment added by John JL London (talk • contribs) 21:41, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

your message
Hi there, I got a message from you saying "Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Dundee Public Art Programme". However I did not create this page myself, it was created by someone else. Apologies if I've misunderstood the guidelines - the notice says "If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice", which was what I did. It implies that only if I created the page should I click the Contest button. Have I done something wrong? I notice you've removed the other edits I made to the page. Am I allowed to reinstate them without removing the notice or not? Apologies - I'm only an occasional wiki user so I realise I may have misinterpreted the guidelines. How to view my draft
Hi there,
I created a draft article a while back about this company called Vuulr and I wanted to see how it would fare in case it might get banned or whatnot. However, I can't seem to find any trace of the article and I'm not sure how long it might, or if there's anything even being done with regards to approving the draft so I have no idea where to go from here. Is there anything I can do?

Hello Theroadislong, I guess you remember Legione-Romana. This user is doing an impressive amount of disruptive edits, it is difficult to keep track of all the little edits that he is doing, but most are harmful. The user is removing everything he does not agree with (especially if it links the Aromanians with Romania in any kind) even if they are sourced statements [2]. Do you know what I can do to deal with this user? Is a report valid on this case? Super Ψ Dro 12:13, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

My edits & Super Dromaeosaurus
As for your notice left on my talk page regarding my edits, I have provided explanations about the sources that have been removed as outdated or irrelevant to the subject. By not specifying the problematic edits but reverting all of them and bringing back the preexisting version, which by the way in its vast majority constitutes unsourced information, I think that the respective pages can not be improved. A second issue. Since we are here and I see that the user Super Dromaeosaurus is asking you for some help in order to deal with me, I take the opportunity to ask you for some help and deal with them too. Yesterday you penalised me for commenting on the user and not on the content. The respective user who is an experienced one immediately after the recent incident that happened between me and him has accused me of having issues with Romania. Therefore, I report him for a personal attack on me. Also, they are sustaining that I have been doing disruptive editing. That is false. The vast majority of my edits are additional to the existing ones, that can be checked in the history of the pages, mainly I have added information not removed. the respective user is relating my edits to anti-Romanian activity simply because they do not want the respective sources to be removed. They do not comment on my explanations but just simply revert my edits. Since the policy of Wikipedia states that the edits should be based on valid and relevant sources, could you clarify why my edits are considered disruptive and theirs not as such. They are doing the same. I would like to report them for the same issue. Last but not least, could you please have a look at my and their talk page because I would like to report them for abusive behaviour too for penalising me for disruptive editing. RegardsLegione-Romana (talk) 14:24, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- See WP:BRD you were bold, you were reverted a number of times, so now it is time to discuss the issues on the article talk page rather than attack other users and edit war for your preferred version. Theroadislong (talk) 14:47, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi there! I personally have a COI on this topic, but I have been advising the editor who submitted Draft:Orgill on how to better meet Wikipedia's notability criteria and improve sourcing. Since you originally reviewed this draft almost a year now, I was wondering if you'd be willing to take a look at the new, fully-rewritten version he has submitted today. I also advised the editor how to properly disclose his COI on his user page. I think the article is more more neutral in tone now, with the main assertions of notability right at the top, and all the assertions cited to independent secondary sources instead of press releases. I'd really appreciate if you took a look! Dominic·t 18:27, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Advice needed on your comment
Hi, I read quite a lot of stuff on Wikipedia and tried to follow the same pattern. Also, this draft might look like an essay, I have incorporated lots of references which to me means there is proof or science behind what I am including in the draft. I have tried to revise the draft a few times and I have followed the rules of Wikipedia right from choosing a topic to how it has to be written. So, I would like to know how does Wikipedia distinguishes between an essay and a scientific document (containing information about current research) with references? This would help me to understand how I am supposed to extensively re-write this draft.
Secondly, I was suggested to merge my earlier draft with an already existing wiki page "Synthetic lethelity". I want to keep my page " Myc associated synthetic lethality" exclusive to include information just about synthetic lethality associated with MYC. In the future, I want to include more information and details related to MYC and not speak about synthetic lethality in general. My goal in making this page is that I want to give researchers working on MYC synthetic lethality very exclusive information about it at one place. So, I would request to consider this page seperately. Keeping this in mind can you give me some suggestions as to how I can modify my current draft to be accepted.

- Yes I did feel before Christmas that Wikipedia was taking over my life, I have managed to control it by deleting my watchlist which was over 97,000 articles long, now when I wake up in the morning I don't spend the first two hours of the day trawling through it! Theroadislong (talk) 12:35, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) if I might butt in here, deleting or trimming the watchlist is very helpful. A big watchlist turns editors into workers, more or less. A tiny watchlist (mine is down to less than a couple hundred) means you have the time to enjoy editing.--- Possibly (talk) 19:00, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed mine is now down to around two hundred and mostly I add others only for one month and feel much happier editing here now. Theroadislong (talk) 19:09, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

- @Possibly, thanks, I probably should do just that, I’ve become to occupied with this collaborative project (nabbing UPE & whatnot) and of recent I can tell it’s beginning to interfere with my real life(which is almost non existent). At work, I’m senior management staff & at this level, I mostly supervise and not actually work per se so I have leeway to edit whilst at my work place, it isn’t affecting my productivity at work or anything like that but it is as though gradually I spend an inordinate amount of time here. Ive commenced the process of removing several articles from my watchlist. Thank you all for your input, thanks Liz, and of course a big thank you to my AFC senior colleague T.R.I.L. Sir my username is changed now , hope this will not make any confusion as my objective was to spread the awareness about the scholarship under which i am studying and doing any advert
With reference to my article on Prime Minister Special Scholarship https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Prime_Minister%27s_Special_Scholarship_Scheme There was confusion with my previous username as I was wrongly judged with my article as an advert. I am not a paid employer, I am a student who is studying under this scholarship only I am new to Wikipedia Please help me in publishing my article and spread awareness through your medium. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikhil Singh Kotwal (talk • contribs) 16:40, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

How will an important thing will become noticable unless it will not reach to the target audience .
with reference to your review on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Prime_Minister%27s_Special_Scholarship_Scheme If Wikipedia will not help to reach the information of such an important scholarship by government of India then who will help sir. I am not doing an advert for government, neither i am a government employer nor government will give me anything for this article . I am the beneficiary of this scholarship i have got many opportunities from this scholarship, its my duty to spread the awareness.
Hope you will understand sir, Please check the article once — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikhil Singh Kotwal (talk • contribs) 18:56, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

- Wikipedia has no interest in what you want to say about your scholarship scheme, Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic. Draft: Ha Li Fa
Hi, over the weekend i have try to come out a more balance way of writing, please kindly help to check and review accordingly. Still way too much thing to learn on this. Hope you don't mind to teach. Best Regards. RandallRiver (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Randall River (talk • contribs) 02:12, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Firstly you need to properly declare your conflict of interest. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia summarizes information that appears in independent reliable sources with significant coverage showing how a company meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. Your draft does not do this. Theroadislong (talk) 06:46, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
Hello, what do you mean they contribute nothing to any notability? Can you please explain? I have plenty of articles that mention Mr. Mickeler's expertise in many events and in places he has advised with (Sotheby's, Christie's, etc..) I used the website www.thetisdinosaurs.com because it is the official website of the company that he currently advises within. I do not understand...Can you please explain why..? Because there is plenty of referencing mentioning him. And I have seen some other articles on Wikipedia that don't have that many references and are active articles. Thank you.
- He works with that company so the source is not independent to establish notability you need to provide multiple references to in-depth articles written about him in unrelated, independent journals, magazines, books or online. Theroadislong (talk) 09:40, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for your message, but I do not what you mean when you say "please edit for neutral tone" - what for neutral tone? Khamlia Khamlia (talk) 11:43, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Terms like "top violist" "a good organizer and engaged in various functions" is not neutral tone. Theroadislong (talk) 12:09, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
Request on 14:18:50, 5 April 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Rappidone
In respect of your recent review of Draft:Shab, you commented that YouTube “is rarely a reliable source for establishing notability” — a comment with which I would generally agree. However, the citations of YouTube were offered in support of the statements that this artist’s videos have registered over two million views: and I am unsure as to what source could be more credible or accurate than the playcounters on the respective YouTube webpages proffered.
I understand that it may be difficult for new artists to achieve the notability requirements for approval of a Wikipedia listing. However, this new artist —- Shab —- has as of this week charted a second #2 hit on the MusicWeek singles charts (which is the analog to the Billboard music charts in the United States) with her two debut singles, an achievement sufficiently rare that industry observers struggle to identify the last occasion when an artist achieved Top Ten status with two initial singles.
Moreover, roughly half of the the External Links associated with this submission that serve to document this artist’s biography are themselves news or music industry sources that are acknowledged by Wikipedia. Indeed, are we to suppose from this rejection that the Dallas Morning News, which as a newspaper has one of the 20 largest paid circulation in the United States, is insufficiently credible for notability purposes?
in any case, I would LOVE to have clearer direction as to the changes that you deem necessary to have this article published.
Rappidone (talk) 14:18, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- YouTube views no matter how many, do not contribute towards notability. Your draft is littered with external links which we don't use, you might be able to convert some to references however. See WP:SINGER for the criteria they need to pass. Theroadislong (talk) 14:31, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I published an article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jisbar) a few months ago but it was declined. I made the modifications 2 months ago but my article isn't published yet. Can someone tells me when my article would be published or what can I do to publish it ? Thanks a lot.
- Still not clear how they pass WP:NARTIST and the article needs to be re-written without the present tense. Theroadislong (talk) 08:51, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Pls Help for Page Draft:Sage Suede
Hi, I understand there are a lot of links, but other reviewers have not been kind at all in regards to the notoriety of this musician's page. Having multiple references doesn't make it less accurate, that just supports the facts. I removed the YouTube links so hopefully that helps, but the blog from The Gallery ATX is still notable because it is an art gallery and I have never heard of any musician ever having an art gallery exhibition for 3D music videos. That is a historic event.
- The Draft:Sage Suede was rejected so will not considered further unless you can show that they pass WP:NMUSICIAN, the blog is a primary source so of no value at all for establishing notability, likewise press releases. Pick out the four best sources and post them on the draft talk page and I'll have a look. Theroadislong (talk) 16:59, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
--- Hi, I have many sources and removed that Sage Suede blog a few before receiving your feedback. Here are some of the best sources. There are a lot so I don't know where to begin.
I was thinking maybe it would be better to remove all the extra sources and just input a few. Could I do an appendix with the other links, in case other users want to extrapolate more details? I'm not sure how to do anything because I am new. It has been extremely frustrating working on this article for the past 2 days with constant rejection.
I believe that the magazine publication to more than 1.9 million at the largest gay publication in Asia (DNA Australia) is proof enough. This artist is from a small city of less than 1 million people, yet I have linked more than 7 UK publications and these other publications around the world. It seems nonsensical to deny that this artist has a presence when they have exceeded the reach of the population of their home town and are the most establish independent hip hop/edm musicians in their city.

- I can't see any relevant content at outfrontmagazine.com, and two of the others are the same content, a press release. The fact that 1.9 million people read a magazine has no bearing on the artist's notability Theroadislong (talk) 07:09, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- and now PhilCrusie2 because the content was blatantly promotional and not neutral tone it has been speedy deleted as unambiguous advertising. Theroadislong (talk) 09:30, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you. Jisbar passed artist since he meets the following criteria : The person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums. on the page you sent me (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals). He did significant exhibitions, as in the Museum of History and Immigration (with the former president of France), collaborations with BMW, Armani... and also did the project First painting in Space (Tribute for Léonard da Vinci). Furthermore, there also exists an article about him on the French Wiki, (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jisbar), so he is recognized as an artist (https://jisbar.jimdofree.com/first-painting-in-space/).
For the passive tense, I did it.
Hope you will get me a chance to publish it.Thank you.
- I don't quite see how they pass, WP:NARTIST, however somebody else will no doubt review it soon I expect, having an article on French Wikipedia is irrelevant as the guidelines are much stricter on English Wikipedia. The promotional tone could be removed ie. "luxurious shoe maker", "well known for", " famous Youtubeur Norman", "luxury shoe manufacturer", "which quickly becomes iconic" etc.etc. Theroadislong (talk) 10:36, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Draft Re-Review / Should I Hang Tight?
HI, I hope all is well. Back in Jan/Feb, you and another editor offered advice for my draft about the company Positive Grid. I modified my COI statement, tweaked the copy to be more neutral, etc. and you had said I was OK to re-submit. I now see the other editor no longer reviews pages, so I'm not sure if I should simply hang tight until you're able to review it again, or if there's some other protocol you prefer I follow if your plate is overflowing. Please advise. Happy to switch gears or sit tight as appropriate. Thank you! Guitarfan21 (talk) 15:01, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Guitarfan21

Thanks Thereoadislong, I have worked on that article several weeks and I'm about to give up. I think I will not be able to follow all the templates you gently sent me. When you say that there is a lot work to do, can you please give me some ideas on what is not acceptable? thanks a lot MarinoTetide (talk) 21:55, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Bremley Lyngdoh page AFC submission
Hi Theroadislong, I noticed that you reviewed my submitted page on Bremley Lyngdoh and denied it due to lack of significant coverage. I would like to draw your attention to the talk page of the draft where I mentioned additional references to establish the notability of the subject. I'm mentioning them here again: Joomag (Magazine), ChangeMakers (Magazine), United Nations, AlterNet, Grin News, eclectic NorthEast. Here are some recent coverages that discuss his work: East Mojo, Times. Lyngdoh is an environmental economist and has been working towards reforestation projects around the globe alongside the likes of Arne Fjørtoft. I request you to kindly go through the page once again and then make your decision. Mr RD 03:44, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

- Maxmarsh2021 Your draft Draft:Jan Rindfleisch is written in a rather promotional tone eg. "She supported many significant Bay Area artists", " laid the groundwork for an engaged and inclusive museum environment by continuously tapping the diverse local voices of Silicon Valley", "engaged in community activism by rethinking the way gallery and museum systems work", "Beyond the opportunities provided via the Euphrat Museum, Rindfleisch continues to engage in community building ", none of this is neutral tone. Dear colleague: I have revised the page for the Neurosurgical Atlas as you advised. I appreciate your re-review and acceptance when possible. Thank you for your comments
in my sandbox , i am making an article about a short movie. I have cited 2 cites for verification. One is IMDb and other is KZfaq.com. This short movie is also listed on IMDb top rated short indian films on 10th rank with an IMDb rating of 10. I think that because this movie is listed on IMDb top rated indian short films list, then it is a reliable source as this list is not user generated and neither IMDb ratings are user generated. Moreover i am declaring that i am not in anyway related to that movie.
- IMDb is never a reliable source for anything on Wikipedia because it is user generated, KZfaq.com is a primary source so of no use for establishing any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 08:28, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
but that movie is listed on IMDb top rated indian short films with a rating of 10 and IMDb ratings and lists are not user generated.
- I'm afraid that being listed anywhere on IMDb is irrelevant, there is zero indication that the film passes the criteria at Wikipedia:Notability (films). Theroadislong (talk) 16:45, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

- Certainly, see other poor quality articles exist for that argument.
