I'm Ragdoll and I work at The Arbor Day Foundation as a multimedia designer.

Biography

[edit]

I was born in 1982 in Ord, Nebraska, and, while I was young, moved around the state a lot (Ogalala and Bellevue) until my family settled down in Grinnell, Iowa. I lived there for 9 years, from 1st grade until my Freshman year in High School. My family uprooted me then and slapped me down in Boone, Iowa. I graduated there in 2000 and moved back to Nebraska, this time Kearney, to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). I graduated from here in 2004 with my intended major, Multimedia, and a Visual Communication & Design (Graphic Design) minor. I moved back to Iowa, this time to Grimes, but I did not intend to stay there long. After working brief and largely fruitless stints at Pioneer Hi-Bred and Unitard, I landed, quite happily, at the Arbor Day Foundation. I've been working here since January 2005. My most important contribution so far has been helping to give the Foundation's website a much needed overhaul. I've also created a few fun games and activities.

Comics

[edit]

Comics are a big hobby of mine as well as a big aspiration for the future. I am currently working on a long-running project that has yet to officially see the light of day. I have written about 1 & a half issues and have begun pencilling and inking the first issue.

In a recent encouraging critique by Phil Hester, I've decided to stop inking the comic for the time being, and focus on developing my drawing/storytelling skills.

Music

[edit]

My favorite type of music are usually in the ska/punk/indie music genres. My favorite bands are Ozma and Big D & the Kids Table
