Rosemarie Frankland won the 1961 Miss World beauty pageant, representing the United Kingdom. She became the first women from her country to win the title and the seventh European women; after Sweden had won the two first contests, France in 1953, Germany three years later, Finland in 1957 and the Netherlands in 1959. The pageant was held in London, United Kingdom.
