The author of this article has requested assistance at the help desk with getting this article started. I think there is a legitimate article here, but it needs a little while to get started. TNXMan 14:56, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to delete 'neo-classical' from the first sentence because he is rather late in the century for this title to be truly applicable. Is this OK Tnxman307? I think it was you who added this when you were helping me get the page started. I have also replaced a URL you made with a link to Courtauld images because they have a great many pictures of his works and it fits with this section of the article. Thanks, Gunx Girl.

I saw the term "neo-classical" listed at this link. However, if you think it doesn't fit, feel free to remove it. Best, TNXMan 23:19, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the term neo-classical - it's not totally inaccurate just requires explanation! Thanks for tracking down the article by John A Walker on the firemen, it's interesting and I will come back and add a description of the relevant work by Halse and the reference.
