  • Italiano: Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (inv. nr. 8998). Da Pompeii, Casa dei Dioscuri - Perseo libera la bella Andromeda tenuta prigioniera dal mostro marino inviato da Poseidone. Perseo tiene in mano la testa troncata di Medusa.
English: Wall painting from Pompeii found in the "Casa Dei Dioscuri" (VI,9,6) representing Perseus and Andromeda. Perseus is shown advancing to support Andromeda, who is fastened to a sea-cliff by one hand; the body of the sea-monster which Perseus has just killed is at lower left.
Deutsch: Wandmalerei aus Pompeji aus der "Casa Dei Dioscuri" (VI,9,6) mit einer Darstellung von Perseus und Andromeda. Andromeda, deren linker Arm an eine Klippe geschmiedet ist, wird von Perseus gestützt. Links unten im Bild der Körper des Seeungeheuers, das Perseus eben getötet hat.
