What should go here?

[edit source]

Do we want a list of the elements in atomic order, or do we want them arranged in the actual periodic table? Should someone create this image-wise? Mathboy965 17:49, 21 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Let's make it so all the elements are clickable. That could be really useful. --HappyCamper 21:42, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
If I make them clickable, what should they link to? --Mathboy965 23:15, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
For now, I guess, just link back to the Wikipedia articles on the elements, say w:Calcium. The idea on Wikiversity is that we want to create learning materials, so the idea is more geared towards telling someone how to use the periodic table, and get the information they need. --HappyCamper 14:36, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I would like to ask, how did you manage to create the periodic table in a single edit? That was some massive editing you did there! --HappyCamper 14:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I kept edited and saving to a text file instead of to the wiki page. When I finished, I saved to the wiki page and created the periodic table. --Mathboy965 17:07, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adding things

[edit source]

I have just put a few things under the sections. I will expand these later, but don't have much time at the moment. --Mathboy965 17:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

So I do not pretend to have any particle physics background - I have just created the nonmetals page and a few elements. Just some very basic research to get things started so smarter people can take over ;) Markco1 18:20, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Colour contrast

[edit source]

Hi, If you are going to use two different colours in a square there needs to be good contrast between them for the text to be readable. Blue on a purple background is one of several that I can't see and I'm sure some others can't either. WereSpielChequers 12:39, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the changes, it looks much improved! --HappyCamper 02:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

A Requirement

[edit source]

The number of electrons in each of the shells of the atom is required. In that way, more information can be extracted from it.--M1234 19:01, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

That should be included in their own pages. ---Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 01:37, 19 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Groups

[edit source]

I find it peculiar that Groups are mentioned in the text but omitted from the table which only shows columns. For reasons with which I'm unfamiliar (perhaps inconsistent usage), it seems to be fashionable to replace the traditional groups with 18 column headings. If we're going that way with the table, why not the text?
