Agnes pelton

Agnes Lawrence Pelton (22 August 1881–13 March 1961) was born in Germany and moved to the United States as a child. She studied art in the United States and Europe. She was a visionary symbolist who depicted the spiritual reality she experienced in moments of meditative stillness. For most of her career, Pelton chose to live away from the distractions of a major art center.
