Narumi Ceramics on Instagram: "While I am waiting for my studio to undergo a bit of renovation in a few weeks time, I am working on this water etched vessel which was left unfinished before we moved. I cannot start a new Nerikomi project till all renovations are done. The green you can see has nothing to do with the result, it will burnt off. Still a long way to go and it will probably be the last piece with fish and anything to do with water I will be making for a long while. #porcelain…

cleo on Instagram: "How to do water etching on ceramics! Tip: if you don’t have coloured wax you can use food colouring to give it a colour!! It just burns off in the kiln like normal 🙂 It’s a super easy way to add texture to your pottery:
1. Get a bone dry pot (greenware)
2. Use wax resist to make a pattern
3. Wait for the wax to dry
4. Use a damp sponge to wipe away the clay around the pattern
5. Bisque and glaze as usual! #ceramics #pottery #wateretching #waxresist #clay #greenware"

Sarah Catherine Clay on Instagram: "I have been pretty quiet on here. I needed time to recover after my fall/winter shows. I usually take December and January to slowly get back into making and experimenting with new ideas. Here is what I am currently experimenting with: water etching! I have designed some silhouettes that I plan to cut out of tyvek mailers and add as a layer to some of my current surface designs. We shall see how it goes. 🤞 #silhouette #silhouettecameo4 #graphicdesign…
