Be sure to follow along for the BIG reveal! Save and share 🔥 Part one kitchen steps below 👇🏻 ▪️Clean all surfaces of cabinet doors, drawers, and framing. If you need a good degreaser, I’d suggest Krud Kutter. ▪️Remove all cabinet doors and drawers. ▪️Tape off floor and walls. You will want to do this to prepare for stain in the next step. ▪️Paint on two coats of Retique It liquid wood. I used the light wood color. Wait two hours in between coats. No sanding needed. Remove drawers and cabinets as well as hardware. Tape off walls and floors. - Apply liquid wood to all surfaces with a foam brush in long even strokes. I used Retique It Light Wood Color. Paint two coats. Wait two hours in between coats. - Apply stain of choice. Allow it to sit on the surface for about two minutes before wiping it off with long even strokes. I did a second coat once the first was dried. I used Varathane Black Gel Stain on my bottom cabinets and Minwax Provincial Stain on my top cabinets. - After 48 hours of everything drying, apply one to three coats of polyurethane. I did three coats on this area of my kitchen. How to Use Liquid Wood
When I went to redo this dresser for my girls room, I planned on sanding it down to its natural wood and giving it a nice topcoat. But then I discovered the unthinkable, parts of it weren’t real wood and I sanded it down too far. Enter Retique It Liquid Wood. This stuff is amazing!!!
