Here's the perfect foundation piece to fulfill all your Victorian bustle daydreams. Wear it to achieve a gorgeous 1880's style bustle silhouette with most lightweight skirts. It's construction is modern, however, made from French-bustled organza, so it's lightweight, comfortable, and super easy to sit and dance in. While I intend it as a foundation piece - I do believe it's gorgeous enough to wear by itself too! The fabric is stiff crystal organza, and the edges are trimmed in wide lace for flirt and sass. It ties in the front with grosgrain ribbon, and has elastic in back for a snug, comfortable fit. If you wear it without an overskirt, you can hide the ribbon ties beneath your corset in front. .v. --:-- Sizing --:-- .,_.^._,. I carry this bustle in the following lengths: 36", recommended for heights around 5'1-5'3" 38", recommended for heights around 5'3-5'5" 40", recommended for heights around 5'5-5'7" Measure your length from high hip to the floor, in the shoes you plan to wear. This is a regular-size bustle. The total length of the bustle's elastic and ties is around 70 inches. It's easier to tie when there is plenty of ribbon - so if your high hips measure over 41 inches, I recommend custom ordering the plus size version of my bustle. .v. Sewing Time .,_.^._,. Bustles are ready to ship except for the final step - when I gather up the organza fabric to make the bustle fluffy. Before this step, they are able to be folded and stored in a way that both conserves space and allows me to easily find the correct color and length among what I have in stock. I reserve time in my sewing schedule each week for bustles, but sometimes things get crazy. Please be aware that bustles can take up to 10 business days to complete and ship. If you need to receive your bustle by a specific date, please contact me before placing your order. .,_.^._,.
