This ball gown recreation is faithful in all aspects to a real vintage dress from around late XIX century. My studies on the fashion of the Victorian period and my passion for sewing met when I started attending the Italian Society of 19th century social dances lessons and meetings. Since then I have designed and tailored several Victorian inspired ballgowns. ♥ This ballgown is entirely handmade like all the products in my shop ♥ The skirt is smooth on the front while on the back it is wide and enriched at the sides with lace and handmade ribbon roses and leaves. The hem is embellished with a pleated flounce. The bodice has short sleeves and the classic pointed shape. It is decorated with roses and leaves. It is shaped and reinforced with 13 splints and has a cotton lining for better comfort. The closure on the back, according to tradition, consists of metal eyelets and ribbon. There is also a modesty panel to cover the skin under the closure. For the realization of the dress YOU CAN CHOOSE THE COLOR you prefer from a wide range of colors, and the same goes for the decorations. For more information about available colors, please contact me. The lace with the motif shown in the photo might not be available, in this case I will give you the opportunity to choose from available models. After placing the order you will have to send me the information with your measurements. If necessary I will privately instruct you to take the measurements correctly. The petticoat (tournure/bustle) and gloves are not included. Colors may seem slightly different due to computer settings. For any questions or clarifications contact me without hesitation.
