The gold fabric is even more amazing when you realize it is all hand-beaded in the much gorgeous turquoise and creme leaf motif. The prong-set jewels add another degree of charm that is irresistible. I adore the fringed cut-out shoulders and three-dimensional floral side applique. The attached duel-trains really set this garment apart of others during the period. This is one of the best 1920's pieces I have ever seen and I would not be surprised to learn that it was custom made from one of the top haute-couture Paris houses at the time. There is hand-stitching throughout and hidden side snap closures. Only signs of wear are a few tears to the attached trains and light fray to the metallic lamé.
