Belcher Antique Diamond Ring, Includes Original Collectible Vintage Ring Box!

Belcher set antique diamond promise ring or petite engagement ring in its original highly collectible antique ring box! To the center of this amazing ring sits an estimated 18 point bright white sparkling old cut diamond with a belcher setting. The shoulders and shank of this ring are oh so lightly engraved making this piece very distinctive. The antique purple velvet and silk ring box is included with this purchase. These boxes are by themselves quite collectible, so what a treasure to have it too! The box is marked with the jeweler's name "Brodegaard Brothers and Co". They opened for business in 1860 and were open through 1956. The ring is marked with great provenance...in addition to the box, its history is recorded inside the shank...a date of Aug 13 '9 and YC to J. This could easily be rubbed out, but I can't imagine doing that as it certainly adds to its charm! This gorgeous ring is in fantastic condition for its 110 plus years, with just some age appropriate smoothing/wear. It would be perfect as a promise ring, a petite engagement ring, or simply as a right hand ring to add to your fine jewelry collection.
