Vintage Mid Century Brass Tray Table. The brass tray is beautifully detailed with central engraved images of flowers and birds encircling a Chinese symbol and a raised, scalloped edge riveted to the main body. Engraved on the back of the tray: Made in Hong Kong. The base has four legs that fold flat and are made of solid wood that appears to be teak or rosewood. The bottom of the legs have brass tips. There is a hook for hanging on the back of the tray. The table measures 26" in diameter and it is 19" tall. It is in Good Vintage condition, with some wear and patina. One of the legs has a chip, on the inside of the leg, by the brass tip (see pic 8). The legs have been repaired, they have cracks and some missing wood (see the last 2 pics), this does not affect the overall function or aesthetic of the piece. The rubber pieces at the top of the legs are dried up and cracked (see pic 8), this is typical of these tables. The tray has age related patina and tarnishing where the scalloped edge meets the body. The back of the tray has a darker patina through out, it has not been polished. Please zoom in on all the pictures for details of condition. Stylish bohemian coffee table or side table.
