Springy Greens These earrings are created from artisan made glass beads. The round beads have a core of spring green, with a net-like coat of blue over them. They are encased with a thick coat of clear glass which magnifies the color and texture. Below them dangle artisan brass charms, 1 1/8 inch long and 3/8 inch wide. They have been painted with irregular stripes in a variety of blues and greens, both flat and sparkly, with dots of black and gold, then sealed with a thick coat of resin. I have accented this combination with simple gold plated bead caps, gold plated wires and gold plated ear wires. Photos were taken with a combination of artificial and natural light coming in my workroom window, and direct sunlight in my yard. Because the glass beads and the dangling charms are hand made, they are not exactly symmetrical. But that's part of the charm of artisan-made products.
