Well I like this because I am a researcher who works in a biotech lab as my day job. But it's also a great way to integrate the science paraphernalia into the logo (love the limited use of color too). For photography, I guess there are various elements that could play similar roles, camera, lights, flash, aperture, lens, bride/groom. Computer screen.
