By then WCO Finland had been delivering low-threshold coaching courses and workshops internationally for more than a year already. The original home of WCO was in Portugal. Growthroom Cooperative grew into a hub of personal and professional training and coaching services and lived happily in its shape until the end of 2022. Today, our business trainings have a new home under GENEROI Development, and what's even more exciting is that we are off to the races with a whole new WCO - owned by us here in Finland! The spirit of Growthroom will keep living on, just in a new form. With some practice we can rewire our brain to ask questions instead of finding the answers. This is a great practical example by Pauliina Hallama. ✨
Coaching is not about finding a better answer, but about finding a better question. ❔ Imagine you receive an email from someone, beginning like this: "What if the day would be longer?... I'm sorry about my delay in replying. I was trying to figure out my calendar and rhythm before replying to you." Followed by suggestions to some previously discussed practicalities. Now, how would you reply to such a message? A usual reply, even for myself, would be commenting on how much indeed there is to do at the moment and wishing them things will slow down a bit soon... But this time, when the other side of my brain was still trying to find words to express the previous, my fingers were typing: "Indeed, that is a good and interesting question: What if the day would be longer? Would I get more work done, take more time for re-charging and resting, or spend more time on my passions, for instance? Also, what if the day was shorter? What will I focus on then?". The coach in me hit send. 📩 The reply to my email: "An even better question!! Thank you." And then the final practical details. 💡 #thepowerofquestions #coaching #worldcoaching #generoirohkeasti
