Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter, who has achieved great international popularity. Her painting is influenced by indigenous cultures of Mexico as well as by European influences that include Realism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. Many of her works are self-portraits that symbolically express her own pain and sexuality. Her work has been celebrated in Mexico as emblematic of national and indigenous tradition and by feminists for its uncompromising depiction of the female experience.

Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it's true I'm here, and I'm just as strange as you. #Frida Kahlo
