@design.with.amber on Instagram: "I’m spilling every single detail you see here 🩶 mortar color (this is where the magic happens): Brand is Coosa. Color is Glacier white + brown sand. The half white/ half brown sand added the perfect amount of warmth! Fireplace mantel/surround: totally hidden here, but will reveal soon! @oltrecastingsdesign Milan (in the meantime you can check it out) Stone: (SAVE THIS) it’s prettier than I imagined! @horizonstonellc - Sedona 🤎 Let me know if you have any questions!"
Lauren Liess on Instagram: "for the queen Anne’s lace lovers 🤍 For YEARS I’ve been lamenting the speed at which queen Anne’s lace wilts when brought indoors… don’t know why I didn’t think about this sooner!! Also- carrots are just as worthwhile as blooms as they are as food 🥕 #foxvalefarm"

Jen + Ben | Home Builds on Instagram: "Who wants a tutorial?! The most beautiful, plaster finish. The variation in movement, the sheen, the character- all of it. If you’ve been wanting to build your own mantel, it is definitely doable and more cost effective than buying a pre-made cast stone mantel. Also, it is completely solid and has no seams. Working on a tutorial-let us know what questions you have. #plasterfireplacemantel #diymantel #newbuild #homebuilding #transitionaldesign #livingroominspiration"
Lauren Liess on Instagram: "Overgrouting the stone at our house in the meadow 🌿 it’s amazing to see how different the same type of stone can look with various mortar colors and applications!! When our stone first went up I was so tempted to have it grouted in a more standard way/ just between the stones because we loved it so much but I was after a #fairytalemodern vibe so we went with the overgrouted mortar application we’d originally planned. Our mortar was made with a custom mix of yellow and white sand and the stone is a combination of 3 stones (70% beige gold | 20% white/ivory | 10% brown/charcoal) from nearby West Virginia. Our next Meadow episode is up and we’re making some crazy decisions with mortar (possibly using it as a finished floor) 🤎"
