World Tour 2013 - 2014 - day 83 I do not remind me taking this pic but according to the time it would be a temple on the way betaeen Taihan (main city, center of Wutai Shan) and Nánshān temple. But I remind I wanted to take picture of temple doors since it is very symbolic from chinese architectural culture.

This door is located in the "Garden of Peace and Comfort" or Yu Garden in the old part of Shanghai. It dates from the Ming Dynasty. There are four characters carved above the door. Does anyone know what is written there?

Old Chinese probably 19th century wooden door panel. Handmade using exotic hardwood. This door panel is believed to be from an abandoned temple when the valley it was in was flooded out due to the construction of a dam. The door is constructed with wooden panels with an open geometric latticework design on the upper portion. The upper 'window' portion is constructed using peg or dowels.
