I hosted my first Not 2 Square group meeting this August. We gathered in my studio, a workshop addition my husband and I had built onto the back of our detached garage, where I debuted my latest project: two tea towels and ten napkins. I decided I couldn't wait anymore for the new reeds to arrive so I pulled out the 12 dpi reed from the 24" Ashford and got started. First napkin on its way. 11 more to go.

The closer denting of the edge threads is probably suggested in order to add a bit of strength to the selvedges.

A couple of posts ago, I mentioned that Sue Habegger used to sell placemats and matching napkins using a technique in which the placemats are on a dense warp of 30epi and the napkins are woven on the same warp at 15epi by using half the warp threads for the upper layer and half for the lower layer.
