Antique Silver Alloy Ceremonial Dance Bell Bracelet Timor Leste Indonesia Region: Timor Leste Indonesia Internal Width: 55mm Width Overall: 65mm Depth inc bulb/bell: 75mm The antique bracelet features a star-fruit bud representing female fertility. It would have been held in the hand of a female dancer from Belu who accentuates her movements with the ringing inside bell. The ceremonial style is possibly influenced from the old court styles of jewellery from Java and Bali and is clearly an old piece. The rich patina of the silver content makes up for any loss from age and use. This bracelet is in very good condition considering its age and usage. Please view the photos..
