ABOUT THIS STYLE: The style features a 1930s style jacket with a low gorge and a ticket pocket, a double-breasted notch collar vest, and a high-waisted pant with an extended waistband tab. With all of our designs, we look backward across the great history of menswear and try to bring forward is best and most fresh from the past, discarding what does not speak to our present age, but retaining all of the traditional craftsmanship and quaility. The suit is made from a vintage style herringbone suiting woven in England by Holland & Sherry. THE MUSLIN FITTING PROCESS: The price of these suits includes our most thorough fitting process. For these suits, we ask you to provide measurements (that can be taken at home---and we will provide a measuring tape) and then we cut and sew a complete mock-up of the suit in cotton fabric. You try this on and send us digital pictures of yourself wearing it. Based on these pictures, we will adjust for posture, asymmetry, and preference in addition to fit. This means that every aspect of the suit can be completely customized to your body and look in every way. These suits are guaranteed to fit just the way you want them, and if anything doesn't feel right, we are glad to make further adjustments. 1909 BESPOKE: These are our completely custom handmade suits. Each suit is crafted for an individual customer based on his tastes and lifestyle, and the price of the suit includes us spending 4 hours on designing your suit alone and sketching ideas. These suits are completely patterned, cut, and sewn here in our studio in Denver, Colorado. The name "1909 Bespoke" reflects the fact that the most interesting period for men's suits was the period between 1909 and 1921. Men wore suits for almost every activity, and they had a wealth of styles and details to choose from that were eventually lost to mass production. These suits are made from heavier woolen fabrics than you find on suits today and have a genuine texture and heft. Alternately, these styles can be made in linens, cottons, silks, and seersuckers for summer wear. Each suit features hand prick-stitching on the lapels, a handmade decorative buttonhole, and Edwardian style hand-embroidered tacks on the pockets. HOW TO ORDER: Contact us through Etsy or by email (aj@denverbespoke.com) so that we can get started designing something just for you. We can only make around 30 of our "1909 Bespoke" suits every year. So if you have an upcoming wedding, you will want to book as soon as possible.
