The Titans were the children of the primordial deities Uranus and Gaia. There were originally 12 Titans. They were Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, Cronus, Themis, Rhea, Thea, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. Like the Titans, there were 12 Olympian gods who became the most important deities of the Greek pantheon.
