I have been conflicted posting this gown as a crafting piece. It is some beautiful fabric from 1948 and completely structurally sound. However, there are a couple of rusty stains on the back and the hem has some minor water staining. All of my bridal gowns must be wearable upon arrival and I'm not sure if this fabric is silk (it very well may be) so I can't guarantee that the stains will come out. This is an amazing dress. In pristine condition it would be worth 100's of dollars. It needs professional cleaning (note photos) but otherwise is in GREAT condition. Beautiful golden ecru color taffeta. All lace is intact which is so rare in a dress of this age. Felt paper lining, as was construction of the time, is also completely intact.
