Description: Lovely antique Art Nouveau gold filled photo locket on a 14K gold filled chain. The front features an ornate repousse design with flowers and some leafy and curling designs on the bottom edge and two round faceted paste (glass) gems. The locket hangs on a new 14K gold filled curb chain with a spring ring clasp. On the locket front top left section is an etched starburst shape that has a clear paste gem set inside it. On the right bottom side is a raised ten-petaled flower with a wonderful Repousse curled stem. The flower is set with a pink paste gem in the center. The flower and its stem along with some other decorative swirls fill up and curl around the bottom of the locket and create a lovely contrast to the starburst on a satin background on the opposite / top left side. The back of this antique locket has an engraved monogram with what appears to be the initials PEN in an old cursive font. The back has a satin finish. Inside the locket there are 2 round photo wells. Both have a pink foil paper backing with the frames and plastic covers intact. The locket has its hinge on the bottom and it opens on the top. It opens as intended and closes securely with a snap. This vintage round and larger sized locket hangs from an 18" long gold filled curb link chain that has a spring ring closure. The new curb chain is 14K gold filled.
