Fine three stone ring set with an unheated pink sapphire weighing 6.7ct in 18k. The sapphire is set with two lab-grown fancy cut diamonds weighing 2.04ctw. The natural pink sapphire is from Tajikistan. The mines along the Tajikistan-Kashmir belt produce very minimal of this specimen (not a spinel!); when they surface it is only an opening in time and usually smaller/included stones that tell their story. The pink displays as if floating a slight 'neon' undertone, or an underglow. It is the tonal spectrum that makes the pink move like water. The sapphire is also an emerald octagonal cut that does not conceal a thing; the stone displays with lustre even with inclusions (as these photos do manifest their presence more so than the actual display). The hue rises to just before reaching fuchsia. This pink is special, unlike typical pink sapphires, visually alluring even if one may not like a pink stone. The D-color diamonds are generously sized for a good reason. The brilliance of the half moons aside the gossamer pink has something lovely of transience. To create the classic three stone ring without sacrificing form and prohibitive cost, we strive for an aesthetic that justifies the use of lab diamonds. To wear an unusual sapphire specimen at its best, served by impeccably white and big diamonds. The ring is handmade, not cast, with a substantial band that is not thin/dainty. The sapphire measures 11.46 x 8.95 x 6.11 mm. AIGS Report GF23063326.
