India is home to nearly 150 million farmers, and today, on Farmer’s Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every shetkari for bringing food to our tables. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to our farmers, who have dedicated themselves to bridging the gap by providing the cleanest and chemical-free groceries for our homes. There is always a way to choose what’s right and good for us, and we thank the various agricultural groups across the country for educating farmers and joining us in making a difference. Many of our farmers initially practiced conventional farming for years. This new generation took a bold step, allowing their land to rest for 5-7 years to transition to organic farming. It takes immense strength and patience to make such a decision, but these farmers made it anyway. This Farmer's Day, let’s celebrate those who ensure we can all lead healthier, more conscious lives.🧑🌾✨

It’s heartbreaking to hear about the toll pesticide exposure is taking on the farmers in Punjab, one of India’s most important agricultural regions. Farmers there are suffering from chronic illnesses because of the overuse of harmful chemicals. What's even more unsettling is that these impacts don’t stop at the farms; they affect everyone, from the fields to our plates. But during our visit to farms in Andhra Pradesh six months ago, we saw a different story. Farmers who had transitioned to chemical-free farming shared the incredible transformations they’ve experienced. After years of switching to organic practices, their health has improved, their soil is thriving, and they are proud to grow produce that's not just safe for us, but for them too. Organic farming isn't just about the food we eat; it's about ensuring the health and well-being of the people who grow it. It's about protecting the future of our planet, the people, and the farmers who are the backbone of our food system. Let’s support and promote farming that’s better for all of us—because a healthy tomorrow starts with the choices we make today 🌱 https://lnkd.in/dWF7PTGD

Did you know that products sold in low-income countries often don’t match the nutritional quality of those in high-income nations? A report shared by Business Standard sheds light on this disparity. While food quality should ideally be universal, the reality can be quite different. For example, a global health rating system shows that products in low-income countries score just 1.8/5, compared to 2.3/5 in wealthier regions. To qualify as “healthy,” a product needs to score above 3.5—and that gap speaks volumes. This inequality adds to the growing health crisis. The World Health Organization reports that over 1 billion people worldwide are living with obesity, with 70% in low-and-middle-income countries. Ultra-processed foods—like sugary snacks and drinks—are often the biggest contributors. At Conscious Food, we believe access to wholesome, chemical-free, and nutritious food should be a standard, not a privilege. It’s time for all of us to make thoughtful choices and advocate for healthier options that truly nourish. 🌱 How do you ensure your food choices align with your health goals?

Picture this: waking up to a world where every breath feels pure, and every choice we make safeguards the future. Europe has set its sights on becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. But what about us? India has its own story to tell, one rooted in resilience, diversity, and the power to transform challenges into opportunities. This isn’t just a vision—it’s the future we can create together. By shifting to clean energy, embracing sustainable farming, and championing industries that prioritize the planet, we can pave the way for something extraordinary. New Delhi’s hazardous air quality is a daily reminder of the cost of waiting. But we don’t have to accept this as our reality. India’s pledge to cut emissions and achieve net-zero is a step in the right direction. Now, it’s up to all of us. The choices we make today can spark a movement toward a greener, healthier India. The question is: Are we ready to start? Read about the European green deal plan here: https://lnkd.in/geJjdthf
