Half-Day Kindergarten. Is there really such a thing anymore? Even with Common Core standards being implemented across the country and talks of rigor in the classroom I can assure you, it still happens. Do you teach half day Kindergarten? It is a constant juggling act to get it all in, keep students engaged (without being overworked), and keep things moving because the end of the day comes quickly! I have my students for 2 hours and 45 minutes each day and I try my best to jam pack it full of learning and fun along the way. Here is a look at what I'm teaching this week in a half-day program. A lot of people have asked what my daily schedule looks like, so here's a little peek at how things run in my class. There's a lot to do each day and a couple changes to my scheduling helped me make the most of the time I do have.
