On platters and plates (like this one) containing figures, faces or very fine lines, I use a ceramics pen to create the fine outlines and small writing. This is done after the firing process & then heat set. These pieces are recommended for DECORATIVE USE ONLY. If you prefer the piece be food safe, I can paint and fire those lines for an additional fee. The lines will be thicker and the overall piece will have a little different look. Just let me know if you'd prefer that option.
