Law Enforcement

On behalf of the hotlines, we work very closely with INTERPOL. With their high-tech infrastructure of technical and operational support, they help meet the growing challenges of fighting crime in the 21st century.

INHOPE is part of project CPORT. The CPORT portal provides law enforcement access to ICCAM – the centralised secure platform used by INHOPE hotlines. The portal facilitates a direct data and information exchange between hotline content analysts and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) to streamline the removal of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online.

Non-Profit

Insafe and INHOPE have been working together through a network of Safer Internet Centres (SICs) across Europe, typically comprising an awareness centre, helpline, hotline and youth panel. The central aim of the Insafe and INHOPE networks within their awareness-raising and child-protection mission has always been to maintain an evidence-based approach with their sights firmly fixed on the future to ensure that emerging challenges are tackled proactively in this fast-evolving world.

INHOPE works with partners who also believe in our mission to combat Child Sexual Abuse Material online by growing and supporting our global network of hotlines using a multi stakeholder approach.

There are four types of commitment levels for companies considering becoming INHOPE Annual Funding Partners:
Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond:

  • Silver Partner - €25,000
  • Gold Partner - €45,000
  • Platinum Partner - €75,000
  • Diamond Partner - €100,000

Trusted Reporter Program

Complementary to the DSA’s Trusted Flagger program, we have created the INHOPE Trusted Reporter Program to work with our industry partners outside of the European Union to help them ensure that their services are free from CSAM.

Flagging is the process by which third parties can report potentially harmful content to platforms for content moderation review. As a result, their reports were and are treated as pre-qualified and prioritised for action. Over time, this process has evolved into a standardised system to ensure that reports from Trusted Flaggers within the EU or Trusted Reporters outside of the EU are acted upon rapidly.



The benefit to industry partners:

  • Increased efficiency with trained experts who can provide additional context.
  • Rapid escalation and review of urgent cases.
  • Process improvement through regular meetings to raise key issues, protocol and system updates.
  • Trusted Reporter hotline reports will only contain agreed information points to ensure efficiency.
  • By participating in the INHOPE Trusted Reporter Program it demonstrates a proactive approach to protecting users.

Interested in joining the program?
To join the INHOPE Trusted Reporter Program – INHOPE must be satisfied that the organisation is committed to the program and the rapid removal of illegal content on their platform. If this is confirmed, then a reporting exchange procedure is agreed with the platform and this is shared with INHOPE member hotlines. Following this – any reports received from relevant INHOPE member hotlines will be prioritised and treated as pre-qualified. Exchanging Expertise

INHOPE organises bi-annual training meetings where hotline managers and analysts learn about the newest developments and trends.

Your support will enable us to bring analysts from around the world to INHOPE’s training meetings.

As a member organisation input and contributions from our members is essential. INHOPE runs a network mailing list and monthly newsletter, taskgroups (advisory groups comprised of members contributing to subject related projects), and the presidents club (group for all hotline managers).

Network Expansion

A priority for INHOPE is to expand its membership to countries outside the network where hosting of CSAM has been detected.

INHOPE needs to grow in the major internet usage expansion zones

INHOPE needs to grow in the major internet usage expansion zones (Asia Pacific, South Asia, Latin America & Africa and MENA) in order to meet the challenge of CSAM.

More hotlines in more countries processing more reports translates directly into more referrals to countries for hosting for removal and source, and more material being made available to law enforcement.

The INHOPE network has a secure technology platform called ICCAM ...

Exchange CSAM reports, share data with law enforcement & track data.

As the way CSAM moves through the internet changes, equally ICCAM needs to be updated & upgraded to meet this challenge including radical redevelopment of the API to allow for better/faster exchange of data with other systems. We seek additional funding to secure this development and hope that your contribution could help in this endeavor.
