Adeena Sussman on Instagram: "Techina Hot Chocolate
Serves 4

Rich, thick, and nutty, this hot chocolate will be your new end-of-winter obsession. I liken it to a version of a thick cup of chocolate chaud you might find in Paris—with Middle Eastern twists in the form of techina and Yemenite “hawaaij for coffee” made with warm spices (I also call it sweet hawaaij, and you can always swap in equal parts cinnamon and ginger). Use plant-based milk and whipped cream if you are dairy-free, and don’t leave out the pinch of salt or splash of vanilla—they really enhance all the flavors.

2 cups milk of your choice
2/3 cup pure tahini
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 tablespoons silan (date syrup) or brown sugar
1 teaspoon Yemenite sweet hawaiij for coffee* (or 1/2 tsp each cinnamon and ginger)

Vegan Community 💚 on Instagram: "CHOCOLATE MOUSSE but make it vegan and super easy. Rich, creamy and silky, it basically melts in your mouth.

INGREDIENTS

▪️Dark chocolate (70 to 80%)
▪️Silken tofu (I promise no one will know there’s tofu in this; it has no taste, just great creaminess)
▪️Medjool dates (adds sweetness and body-ody-ody-ody-ody)
▪️Dutch process cocoa powder (has a richer, purer chocolatey taste, but you can use cacao powder or regular cocoa powder)
▪️Maple syrup or organic cane sugar
▪️Espresso powder (brings out the chocolate flavors)
▪️Vanilla extract
▪️Cinnamon (optional)
▪️Sea salt (essential for those sweet-and-salty chocolatey vibes)

TIPS
▫️Use a high-powered blender for the silkiest results. Don’t have one? Soak the dates for 10 minutes in warm water + use a Silken Tofu, Espresso Powder, Cacao Powder, Melt In Your Mouth, Chocolate Mousse, Sweet And Salty, Chocolate Flavors, Cocoa Powder, Vanilla Extract
