What to wear on an African Safari? The biggest misconception is that you have to get outfitted in high tech safari clothing. While you should pay attention to the region you are visiting as a factor in determining the colors, coverage and durability of your gear, you can really dress comfortably in normal travel clothing for a safari. Pack neutrals, khaki and greens and avoid colors like red which can scare big cats or black or navy which can attract tsetse flies.
