A lovely natural cornflower blue sapphire is shown proudly on this vintage 14k yellow gold band. The 1.41 carat gemstone sits 5/16 inch tall above the 5/16 inch wide florentine finished yellow gold band. Five sturdy prongs hold the beautiful blue 6.95mm x 6.91mm x 3.42mm stone tightly in the raised setting. The band has nice flat edges, which are perfect for stacking other rings next to it. The inside is hallmarked, "14k" (gold) and signed, "FG". The ring measures an approx. size 6.5. When I initially acquired the vintage setting the gemstone was missing. I had a certified gemologist and experienced jeweler set the certified sapphire in the empty prongs. The gemstone comes with the attached gemological report and is in excellent condition.
