Agnes | Toddler Learning Activities on Instagram: "Floating letters 🔠 Have you tried this fun STEM science experiment? ♥️ Fill a bowl with water 🧡 Use dry erase markers to draw on the back of a spoon. We're using a ceramic soup spoon but this should also work on a metal spoon 💛 Slowly lower into the water 💚 Watch your drawing slide into the water and float! 💙 Use a pen to move the letters around to spell words 💜 Or use a spoon to scoop out the letters! Recommended age: 18months+ (younger toddlers can practice scooping and start working on color and letter recognition. Older preschoolers can work on spelling and forming words) Some tips to help: ❤️ Make sure your spoon is dry before drawing 🧡 Wipe the spoon after each time 💛 Press hard when drawing so you have a thick layer 💚 Draw Floating Letters, Spell Words, Water Experiments, Water Watch, Expo Marker, Pre Writing Activities, Vbs Ideas, Whiteboard Marker, Preschool Letters

Snooze One – Lettering Artist on Instagram: "(ad/ werbung) Time for another papercut lettering 😎 A project from last year. It’s been a while, should get back into this 😌 I am using Procreate with the „Round 3D“ brush out of my Outline Pack in the beginning btw ✌️ I mainly used sticky 3D pads to level these different layers of paper. For the letters that are a bit higher I used acrylic glas, so it looks more like they are floating and you can’t really see the sticky pads 👌👌 #papercut #paperart #letteringideas #papercutart #modernlettering" Snooze One, Text Art Typography, Adobe Illustrator Brushes, Paper Cut Artists, Procreate Ipad Tutorials, Illustrator Brushes, Using Procreate, Graffiti Lettering Fonts, Procreate Ipad Art

Lime and Lemons : art I like: Jaume Plensa Book Installation, Jaume Plensa, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Digital Museum, Interactive Installation, Exhibition Display, Visual Poetry, Art Installation, Text Art

Today's Observer Review included a photo of a piece in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park by Jaume Plensa (whose website is here), an artist born in Barcelona in 1955 and now working in France, Spain and the USA. The image caught my eye because if shows part of a large sculpture of a human form, made entirely out of capital letters in a sort of mesh, made of metal. The YSP exhibition website is here. A Guardian article about his work is here. Lots more image, and interesting analysis of his works…
