Here’s a breakdown of each type and what they do to wood:

1. Oxalic acid ➡️ 
this one helps remove stains in wood such as water stains. If you apply it over a whole surface it can give the appearance of a lighter look by removing light surface staining. 
Here’s a Tip! 
 Bar keepers friend has a small amount of oxalic acid in it so it can be great for making a paste and sitting on top of a stain. 

2. House hold/laundry bleach➡️ 
Chlorine based bleach will remove dye from wood or offending bacteria but it won’t alter the natural colour.
