Polka is a style of traditional European folk dance which has had a following among some people here in the U.S. for decades. It requires the use of very twirly skirts of which this is one. Though adequately made, it was clearly not sewn by an expert. It is, nonetheless, a very fun, cute skirt! It is not lined so it may require a slip or under-layer at your discretion. Add a poofy underskirt of tulle for the full impact! The fabric is either cotton or a poly blend cotton.
