This vintage 34 and 1/2 by 34 inch Italian silk square scarf, designed by Enrico Coveri, is a delightful mix of graphic and medallion designs done in brilliant red, white, gold, tan with navy blue accent lines. Enrico Coveri was a well-known Italian designer. In 1977 his first collection was presented during the French fashion week and Coveri became the first Italian to succeed at the prêt-à-porter catwalks in Paris. At just 25 years old, from that initial appearance on the Parisian scene, Coveri gained the title of "enfant prodige" of Italian fashion. As you can tell from the photos, beautifully hand rolled and hemmed edges remain very puffy so we know this scarf was not worn often and the original owner took very good care of it. The Enrico Coveri tag is attached to one corner and the fabric content label shows this to be all silk and Made in Italy. This is a pattern-on-pattern silk, so in addition to the delightful mix of designs, there is a swirl print background on the creamy white silk. You can see how well this heavy silk drapes and folds. With the overall design, you will get a glimpse of different colors and shapes each time you fold it. As a bonus to the new owner, this scarf will arrive with complimentary Scarf Donuts that make it so easy to wear a scarf without the need to even tie it. Freshly cleaned, this Enrico Coveri scarf comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home and is in Excellent Vintage condition. It is free of tears, snags, rips, odors or anything offensive that would keep you from wearing and enjoying this vintage designer Enrico Coveri 1980's era scarf for many years in the future.
