HAT SIZES: 19"-25" measuring around the head above the ear (child to adult) FABRIC AND NOTIONS: * ½ yard of fabric * Matching thread (hat and trim colors) * ¼ yard of lining fabric * Desired trim accessories * ¼ yard iron-on adhesive * ¼ yard fusible interfacing (pg 5) * Denim needle for sewing machine * 33" of plastic hat brim wire (1.25 mm) + 1 wire joint (Wire, joints and iron-on adhesive available in the Elsewhen shop) RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For a summer hat, I recommend lightweight, natural fibers like linen, stabilized with fusible cotton interfacing. For cooler weather hats, use a fabric of medium thickness like wool suiting, faux suede or corduroy. For thin or stretchy fabrics, use the techniques on page 5 to stabilize or thicken the fabric. For the hat lining, use polyester lining or pre-washed cotton (cotton for summer hats). You may choose not to trim the hat or to add any sort of accessory you like. If you opt for a two-tone hat, find a quarter yard of your secondary color. COPYRIGHT NOTICE: This hat is an original design by Wendy Talené of Elsewhen Millinery.
