Turquoise, with its beautiful blue hue reminiscent of the ocean, is known for its ability to cleanse negative energy, bring good fortune, and enable truthful communication. There is a famous turquoise mine in Nevada called Number 8. It was found in 1925. Number 8 is known for its spider webbing of a gold to reddish brown color, and light blue to dark blue color turquoise with green shading. Number 8 mine closed in 1976. The last owner mined a giant stockpile of high-quality turquoise that through today is still on the market. The turquoise from that stockpile is looked at as one of the premier turquoises ever discovered. The reason why this is the case is because once the Number 8 gem quality turquoise stockpile reserve is depleted it will never be available again, making it highly valuable. This Nevada 8 Turquoise piece has been set in solid 14K Gold. Inspired by the sea and plant life in the ocean, and on the shore, I created this organic shaped pendant. It catches the light as it moves and reminds me of gentle waves on light blue coastal water. The turquoise pendant in its solid 14K Gold setting measures 24mm x 14.5mm, including the bail. The inner diameter of the bail ring measures 3.45mm by 2.75mm. This pendant is offered with or without the 14K Gold, 18 inch cable chain shown in the pictures. This pendant is one of a kind and ready to ship. *Please be sure to read my shop & return policies listed on the BluWaterJewels main page and in my FAQ section.
