I was inspired by a local co-op jewelry maker to take a new look at old pieces of jewelry. I had this antique watch in my jewelry box that had been there for quite some time. It didn't work and I wanted to use it in a new way. I started by looking online to see how to disassemble it. In the video I was surprised to see the beautiful inner workings, including garnets. I thought how lovely the watch would look with additional gemstones rolling about the face. It would take me more than two years to find a place to source small faceted gems. When I did, I decided I would use rubies as these are my birthstone. I really love how this is turned out and will be happy to custom make one for the antique jewelry lover in your life. Please note, this was an antique watch prior to becoming a bracelet and has signs of wear. I think this adds to the character of the piece. The band of this watch is small. Please confirm measurements to ensure good fit.
