Here's a handmade ceramic pottery plate, inspired by ocean shapes and textures. I handbuilt this piece out of stoneware clay, then added a variety of homemade glazes. This one is a real smorgasbord. This one won't work for food. It looks rad, though. It's great for jewelry. Or little notes. It's about 5 inches around and 1 inch at the tallest.
