This is a solid gold ring constructed using pure 24k gold. I start with refined .999 pure gold and melt it to red hot liquid metal, then forge it into a bar which is painstakingly rolled and hammered into the finished ring you see. The brilliance of pure 24k (99.9% gold content) gold is unmistakable. The rich color stands out from most standard jewelry that is made from 14k (58.3% gold content) and 18k (75% gold content) jewelry. The band is approximately 6mm wide and 1.1mm thick. Weights vary slightly depending on your size selection (The ring in the photos is a size 10 and weighs 6.75 grams. Prices are adjusted at checkout to account for the amount of gold used based on your size selection.) Take note that with a wide band, it's generally best to go up by a 1/2 size increment when ordering, since wider bands do fit a bit tighter on your finger than a standard ring. Each ring is made to order so there will be very slight variations from what you see here, but I strive for these dimensions and texture that you see in these photos. This rings has a subtle hammered texture with an intentionally "rough" appearance which highlights the brilliant rich color of the pure gold. Select either "matte" or "high polish" finish at checkout. And while pure gold is a naturally soft metal, I have work-hardened this piece and the thickness and shape of this ring provides rigidity and overall wearability that will last for years to come. Please allow up to 2 weeks production time on these rings as each will be made to order based on your size selection.
