Vintage Italian Sommerso earrings 1920s with 14k goldfilled findings and 14k goldfilled earring At the bottom very rare and very old Venetian transparent glass beads with white and gold aventurine swirls running trough it. These beads are also called Sommerso beads and are handmade in the 1920s, so no two beads are exactly alike. I tried to match pairs to the best of my ability. The bronze colored flower spacer beads are also from the 1920s. These Italian beads measure approximately 20 mm in diameter, the smaller ones are mm. On top of the small Murano bead a 14k rose goldfilled flower spacer bead of 5mm and a 14k rose goldfilled small round bead of 3mm. The earrings are finished with handmade 14k rose goldfilled earwires with waves. The ear wires are handmade by a Dutch designer and individually shaped from 0,8 mm (20 gauge) 14k goldfilled wire and hammered for strength and give depth and detail. All her ear wires have rounded wire ends, so they do not irritate your ears and are very comfortable. MEASUREMENTS The total length of the earrings is approximately 2 ¾ inches (7,1 cm). Due the handmade nature of these earrings, there may be subtle differences between them. They will arrive gift wrapped in a little box in a handmade velvet burgundy pouch all ready for gift giving.
