Measurements: One size fits sizes 8 to 20. body circumference is 58 inches length from shoulder to hem is aprox 54 inches There is a separate Plus listing for larger sizes. Worn under late Medieval and Elizabethan dresses with bodices and skirts (similar chemise shown in photo #3 with bodice and skirt and with a skirt and bodice in photo #4.) Also seen in colonial and frontier wear, it is a versatile garment, one size fits many and therefore a good garment for traders to offer. Photos #1 and #2 are on my 16 year old daughter who wears a size 10. Photo #5 is the same size chemise on a size 1X-Large. The elastic neckline and wrists are fastened with stainless quilting safety pins to allow you to adjust for a perfect fit. The elastic and pin fits into the casing easily. If you prefer to have it sewn you can send me a measurement you would like and I will sew the elastic together for you before I ship it. Most of my customers prefer the ability to get the perfect fit with the safety pins. Pinning the elastic at the largest size you may want then trimming off the excess allows you to tighten or loosen the size of the neckline to accommodate a variety of bodices or off the shoulder. Fabric has been pre-shrunk from the manufacturer, sturdy muslin. Machine wash and dry, can be bleached. A must have for SCA and Renaissance participants.
